Myers Performance Horses

Myers Performance Horses is proud to stand outstanding stallions!

Myers Performance Horses, home of champion sire, Frenchmans Guy and other top rated performance horse stallions, i smanaged by Bill and Deb Myers and their sons, Chad, Billy, Brandon and Brady. It is located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

We started our horse business breaking colts and race prospects in Fort Pierre, SD. From there, we went to the racetrack for 8 years, training mainly Quarter Horses, but also some top quality Thoroughbreds. While at the track, we feel we learned a lot about the importance of good conformation, big hearts and good bloodlines.

While at the Rapid City, SD race facility, we fell in love with the country and the climate. We decided to relocate our operation to the Black Hills – south of Rapid City. When the ‘family’ started to arrive, we left the racing circuit and continued to break colts, putting handles on arena horses, training rope and barrel horses and even did come cutting and snaffle bit competition. In the early 1990’s, we moved our operation to our current location in the northern part of the Black Hills in St. Onge, South Dakota (40 miles northwest of Rapid City).

Myers Performance Horses is proud to stand these outstanding stallions:

Throughout our career in the many different areas of the horse industry, we have always owned horses with the maternal bloodlines of our current stallion – Frenchmans Guy. No matter what was asked of them, whether it was racing at the tracks or competing in the cutting, snaffle-bit, roping, barrel racing, they excelled in all these areas.

We focus on the right minded bloodlines in all ofour mares, assuring you an agile, athletic and competitive performance horse prospect. We understand the importance of horses that have good minds, plenty of speed and cow. We have built up a band of mares that we feel will complement our stallions as well as build our horse program - mares with good bone, straight legs, good minds and lots of substance. Our mares have both run and cow in them and we don’t look for any particular bloodlines but at each mare as an individual.

THE QUALITY OF OUR BROODMARES AND STALLIONS HAVE PRODUCED GREAT NUMBERS OF CHAMPION BARREL HORSES.
