“Rocker b Ranch, located in Barnhart, Texas, was originally formed in 1871 as the Bar S Ranch. In 1954, Senator William A. Blakley purchased the property and changed the brand to Rocker b. In 1964, he deeded the ranch to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The ranch is primarily cow/calf, while also maintaining a small registered Hereford herd and raising American quarter horses. The horses are used in the day-to-day operations of the ranch, as well as competition such as ranch rodeos, ranch horse shows and cutting/cowhorse competitions.”
